Australian millennial travellers "less trusting" than baby boomers

SYDNEY - Amadeus, a leading technology provider for the global travel industry, has released new data on ‘What Asia Pacific Millennial Travellers want’ in the latest series of Journey of Me reports first launched by Amadeus in August 2017.

Conducted in collaboration with YouGov across 14 markets in Asia Pacific including Australia, New Zealand and Japan, the research surveyed 6,870 respondents, 45% of whom were millennials at the time the data was collected.

Best Western ramps up Vietnam expansion with beach resort in Cam Ranh

BANGKOK - Best Western Hotels & Resorts has accelerated its expansion plans in Vietnam with the signing of a new upscale property, the Best Western Premier Cam Ranh Seahorse Beach Resort, in Cam Ranh on Vietnam’s south-central coast overlooking the East Sea.

The world-class resort, residence and convention centre will be just five minutes from Cam Ranh International Airport and 20 minutes from the popular resort town of Nha Trang.

QF 787-9 fleet to go to 14 as 747s retire

QANTAS has ordered six additional Boeing 787-9s for its international network, to bring its fleet of Dreamliners to 14 by the end of 2020.

Arrival of the new aircraft will enable the airline to accelerate retirement of its last six Boeing 747s – an aircraft type that has been in its fleet since 1971.

Qantas Group CEO Alan Joyce said: “This really is the end of one era and the start of another.

“The jumbo has been the backbone of Qantas International for more than 40 years and we’ve flown almost every type that Boeing built.
