SIA widens code-share agreement with Asiana

SINGAPORE – Singapore Airlines is to code-share on Asiana-operated flights beyond Seoul to Honolulu, Seattle and Los Angeles. The two airlines have been code-sharing since 2005 on flights between Singapore and Seoul-Incheon. Asiana also code-shares on SIA-operated flights beyond Singapore to Jakarta, Perth, Auckland and Cape Town. www.singaporeair.com (ATI).

THAI flights to operate normally – airline issues passenger guidelines

BANGKOK – Thai International says all THAI flights will continue to operate as scheduled despite a curfew between 10 pm and 5 am across Thailand It says travellers are recommended to arrive at the airport three hours before scheduled departure time, and be prepared to offer travel documents for inspection if required during transit to the airport.

China Southern return economy Australia-China from AUD767

SYDNEY – China Southern Airlines is offering return economy flights on its Canton Route from Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney and Perth from $767 (including taxes) to 15 Chinese cities including Beijing, Shanghai and Chengdu. Destinations beyond China include return flights to Kathmandu from $792, Seoul from $797, Delhi from $835 and Tokyo from $996.

SIA to drop services to Cairo, Riyadh

SINGAPORE - Singapore Airlines is to suspend services to Cairo in Egypt and Riyadh in Saudi Arabia. The last flight to Riyadh will be operate on September 28 and the last flight to Cairo on September 30. SIA said the decision was taken because of sustained weak performance on both routes.
