Yalumba taps into China market, to showcase at Qingdao Beer Festival

July 26, 2016

ADELAIDE – Yalumba in August will become the first wine company to showcase at the world’s second-largest international beer and food festival in South Australia’s China Sister State of Shandong. More than four million visitors are expected.

In conjunction with Brand SA, Tourism SA and other South Australian businesses, Yalumba will highlight what South Australia has to offer at the Qingdao Beer Festival. The showcase is a unique exhibition created by a team at Royal Adelaide Club.

Yalumba will use it ‘Rare and Fine’ portfolio of wines to introduce its brand to the Chinese retail and restaurant trade.

Earlier this month, Yalumba formed a partnership with the leading China distributor, ASC Fine Wines, to distribute its brand in what is now a critically important international market for Australian wine exporters.

Nick Waterman, Managing Director of Yalumba Family Vignerons, says China recently became the second-largest market, by value, after the United States for Australian wine exports, and is predicted to become the largest market, by value, in the forseeable future. www.yalumba.com www.asc-wines.com (ATI).
