Party and State institution restructuring continues in China

BEIJING - China's State newsagency, Xinhua, reports that China's Politburo Standing Committee recently convened to review the reorganisation of the Party and State that began in March 2018.

"With the reorganisation affecting 1.8 million officials and 80 departments, the goal is to reduce the bureaucracy and systemically improve the Government's administrative capacity," Xinhau said, adding that more than 160 laws and 230 administrative regulations had been revised to facilitate the reform.  www.webershandwick.cn (ATI).
