Bangkok Airways takes delivery of first of nine new aircraft

BANGKOK - Bangkok Airways this week took delivery of the first of nine ATR 72-600 aircraft at a special ceremony in Toulouse, France. The other eight will be delivered through to 2017, joining the airline’s existing fleet of ATR 72-500s on domestic and regional services.

The 70-seat ATR 72-600s are said to be the most fuel efficient aircraft in their category. www.bangkokair.com (ATI).
