10 million international visitors for Taiwan in 2015

TAIPEI - Taiwan has welcomed 10 million international visitors in 2015, marking a milestone in the development of its tourism industry. Taiwan’s President, Ma Ying-jeou, said the achievement sent a strong message that Taiwan is on course to becoming a leading global vacation destination.

 “We expect the number of foreign visitors to hit 10.3 million by the end of 2015, reflecting an increase of 168% since 2008,” Ma said, pledging to continue enhancing industry service standards and to attract additional cross-sector investment.
