Why the Chinese take their mobiles into the shower

BEIJING - China's State newsagency, Xinhua, is reporting that mobile phones are a must for the Chinese people, even when they are taking showers, quoting a skincare brand report.

The report says 90% of Chinese habitually take their phones with them when they go to take a shower -- of these, 18.1% said they take their phones because they don't want others to look at their devices, while 9.2% said they need to continue working during showers.

The report said that the showering peak for Chinese people is the hour after 10.pm, with 38.45%taking showers within this period.  www.webershandwick.cn (ATI).
