Vietnam Airlines expands partnership with Sabre

SYDNEY – Vietnam Airlines and Sabre Corporation have used the backdrop of the annual global meeting of IATA in Sydney to announce expansion of their existing agreement which see VN leverage SabreSonic, Sabre’s passenger service system, is now operating on, to improve its retailing, distribution and fulfilment capabilities. Vietnam Airlines already operates on SabreSonic.

“It was an obvious choice to continue our multi-year collaboration with  an innovative technology provider to, allow us to offer an enhanced experience to our customers,” said Trinh Hong Quang – Executive Vice President of Vietnam Airlines. “By integrating Sabre’s advanced solutions to an already robust platform, Vietnam Airlines will be well-equipped to address the fast-changing air travel landscape.”

Sabre technology solutions provide a seamless experience, from flight search through online booking, check-in and the purchase of ancillaries on websites toafter-sales service.

Sabre will also provide Vietnam Airlines with advanced technology to enhance the development of mobile applications.

The announcement comes shortly after Sabre and Vietnam Airlines renewed a long-term content distribution agreement through the Sabre global distribution system (GDS). www.vietnamair.com,au www.sabre.com
