SKYE Suites the new challenger in Sydney market

SYDNEY property developer Crown Group will become a serious player in the upper upscale serviced apartment/hotel market mix from July, with the opening of its flagship Infinity by Crown Group development at Green Square, midway between Sydney Airport and the CBD.

The AUD575 million complex will house 90 luxury studio, and one and two-bedroom apartments branded as SKYE Suites Green Square, alongside 326 residential units and retail, F&B and community facilities.

Infinity orms the gateway of Sydney's huge AUD13 billion Green Square redevelopment, 10 minutes by road or direct train to airport or city.

SKYE Suites Green Square joins SKYE Suites Parramatta, which opened in 2017, and SKYE Suites Sydney, which opened in Clarence Street in late 2018.

Further expansion is planned.

Crown Group's Director of Hotels & Suites, Wayne Taranto, says Crown Group is seeking management opportunities for new or existing developments as it grows the SKYE Suites brand.

SKYE Suites at Green Square, he says, will offer a 24-hour hotel lobby, with free wi-fi, an iPad acting as a virtual concierge in each room, along with access to the food and shopping facilities of the Infinity retail precinct.

"SKYE Suites offer the atmosphere of an urban resort, the convenience and comfort of an apartment, and the amenities of a hotel," he says.

The complex will also host the new Infinity Convention Centre at Green Square, offering event and function space for up to 430 people. The Centre will open in September.
