China's first 5G police station unveiled in Shenzhen

BEIJING - China's Global Times newspaper, which often reflects Government policy, is reporting that China's first 5G police station, featuring technology such as augmented reality (AR) glasses and patrol drones, has been unveiled in Bao'an district in Shenzhen.

Key applications include real-time ultra-HD image transmission, facial recognition, police drones and AR smart glasses at the station. Patrol robots, which have six cameras, are said to make 24-hour police patrols possible, the newspaper said.  www.webershandwick.cn (ATI).
