China to further strengthen intellectual property rights, says Commerce Ministry

BEIJING - China's Stater newsagency, Xinhua, is reporting China's Ministry of Commerce as saying it will take more effective measures to strengthen protection of intellectual property rights (IPR) in legislation, the justice system and through law enforcement.

Xinhua says more efforts would be made to improve IPR reviews, to introduce punitive damages, and to crack down on IPR violations.  www.webershandwick.cn (ATI).
