BEIJING - China is set to surpass the US this year to become the world’s largest e-commerce market, valued at around US$300 billion. Chinese online shoppers will spend US$296 billion in 2013, while US e-shoppers will spend US$252 billion, according to Forrester Research and iResearch. Current growth trends suggest the Chinese ecommerce market will grow to US$576 billion by 2016, a 193% increase.
