China’s shortened market access negative list to be announced in September

August 14, 2019

BEIJING - China's State Council this week has released guidelines specifying individual responsibilities of both central Ministries and local agencies to maintain momentum on improving China's business environment.

Most notably, the Commerce Ministry and the NDRC's revision of the new negative list for market access will be completed by the end of September.

In addition, the new circular asks Ministries and local agencies to "inspect unreasonable restrictions faced by foreign-invested and private enterprises in bidding processes" and to "set up clear regulations and standards that are open to the public".
