Australian provider licensed by regulator to deliver training in India

PERTH – An Australian education and management training provider has won official approval to access India’s vocational education and training market 12 months after opening its first study centre in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, to provide direct training courses.

 Perth-headquartered AAMC Training Group’s Indian subsidiary, AAMC Training India Private Limited, can now operate as a Skill Knowledge Provider (SKP) under the Indian National Skill Qualification Framework (NSQF) following clearance by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) – a statutory body with responsibility for accreditation within the technical education sector across India.
Jeff Mazzini, Founder and CEO of AAMC Training, describes the breakthrough as a further indicator of walls coming down internationally, and says AAMC will continue to broaden its horizons “in line with our vision of Education Without Borders”.
 “We have been active in the Indian Education and Training market for more than three years, and to have been recognised by AICTE is a great achievement for us and more broadly for the relationship between the Indian education sector and our team on the ground in Indi,” he told ATI.
“The combination of India’s billion-plus population, and Indian Prime Minister Modi’s Skill India mission to dramatically up-skill the local population over the next six years means India is the ideal location for a training provider to focus on right now.
“The Indian Government has set itself an ambitious and important goal of up-skilling 500 million Indians by 2022, and AAMC Training is delighted to be part of the solution.
