January 10, 2020

BEIJING - Chinese Vice Premier, Liu He, will travel to the US this coming week to sign the first phase of a trade pact between the world's two largest economies, the Commerce Ministry has confirmed.

At Washington's invitation, Liu would lead a delegation that will visit the US from January 13 to 15, Commerce Minister Gao Feng said.

He said the Chinese delegation would sign a first phase trade agreement with Washington that was previously reached in December, formalising a truce in their trade war that has lasted for more than a year. www.webershandwick.cn (ATI).
