BEIJING - China Southern Airlines Co Ltd has released a statement on Wednesday predicting that its net profit rose between 110% and 130% during 2015. If the estimates are accurate, it potentially means that Asia’s largest carrier by fleet number had a possible net profit of more than RMB3.72 billion (considering the company’s 2014 net profit of RMB1.773 billion, or USS269.49 million), according to a report in China Daily.
SHENZHEN – China Southern Airlines is adding a new route to its Australian services - from Shenzhen to Sydney, with the inaugural flight to land in Sydney on January 28. SINGAPORE – Singapore Airlines is to become the first international airline to operate regular scheduled services into Canberra with the introduction from September of four flights weekly – from Singapore to Canberra and onwards to Wellington.
TAIPEI - Taiwan has welcomed 10 million international visitors in 2015, marking a milestone in the development of its tourism industry. Taiwan’s President, Ma Ying-jeou, said the achievement sent a strong message that Taiwan is on course to becoming a leading global vacation destination.
