JAKARTA – Garuda Indonesia has extended its network to London with the launch of a new service from Jakarta via Amsterdam. The flight, offering five services weekly, will operate in three classes – First, Business, Economy – utilising Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.
Garuda began non-stop services from Jakarta to Amsterdam in May 2014 and will now use Amsterdam as its European hub.
PARIS - Peninsula Hotels has opened its first hotel in Europe – the Peninsula Paris on Avenue Kleber in the 16th arrondissement, close to the Champs Elysees and the Arc de Triomphe.
SYDNEY - Hilton Worldwide is expanding its Double Tree by Hilton brand in Australia, signing the the 237 room DoubleTree by Hilton Cairns, formerly the Holiday Inn Cairns, which will join Hiltons Australasian portfolio of 21 hotels on October 1. DoubleTree by Hilton Cairns will join Hilton’s well-established Hilton Cairns hotel.
TOKYO – Japan Airlines has revised flight schedules to strengthen its international network due to expected growth in its North America-Asia routes and to improve transit times to/from JAL’s domestic network within Japan.
BANGKOK – THAI has taken delivery of the first of eight Boeing 787 Dreamliners, configured with 264 seats across two cabins.
